P.L.P PROJECT

우리는 작은 ‘점(Point)’으로 태어나 다양한 관계를 맺으며 ‘선(Line)’을 만들고, 자신만의 ’면(Plane)’을 영위하다 끝내 다시 한 줌의 모래인 점이 됩니다. 사실 우리의 삶과 조형의 기초라 불리는 점·선·면이라는 개념은 굉장히 유사하다고 볼 수 있습니다.

P.L.P PROJECT는 인간과 가장 가까운 물체를 예술과 디자인의 경계선에 있는 오브제로 치환시키고, 우리의 삶을

조형적으로 재해석하여 새로운 디자인을 제안하는 프로젝트입니다.

We are born as a small "Point", create a "Line" by forming various relationships, and eventually become a point again as we live in our own "Plane". In fact, the concepts of point, line, and plane, which are called the basis of formative art, can be seen as very similar to our lives. P.L.P PROJECT is a project that replaces objects that are closest to humans with objects at the boundary between art and design, and proposes new designs by reinterpreting our lives in a formative way.

P.L.P CHAIR

P.L.P PROJECT의 첫 번째 프로젝트인 P.L.P CHAIR는 “나는 나중에 늙으면 의자에 앉아서 편안하게 눈을 감고 싶어.”라는 말에서 영감을 받았습니다. 의자는 우리가 살아가면서 사용하는 물건 중 태어날 때부터 끝까지 함께 하는 물건으로, 우리와 가까이 있는 의자를 의미가 담긴 의자로 만들고자 했습니다. 좌판과 등받이는 면으로, 면을 이어주는 부분은 선으로, 가구의 포인트 요소로

작용하는 부분은 점으로 구성하여 단순하면서도 편안한 조형으로 제작했으며, 화이트 오크 나무를 사용하여

자연스러운 표면과 질감을 표현했습니다.

The first project of the P.L.P PROJECT, the P.L.P CHAIR, was inspired by the words "I want to sit in a chair and close my eyes comfortably when I get old." The chair is one of the objects that we use throughout our lives, from birth to death. This project was started to make a chair that is close to us a chair with meaning. The seat and backrest are composed of planes, the parts that connect the planes are composed of lines, and the parts that act as the point elements of the furniture are composed of points.

It is designed in a simple and comfortable form, and uses white oak wood to express a natural surface and texture.
